Video Library FAQ's

How many hours can I receive via video training?
Video training hours are considered informal training. DHS limits the amount of annual training hours a provider can receive as informal; therefore, you may need to refer to your Licensing Standards book for the number of hours per licensed year.

How many videos can I check out at a time?
You may check out 4 videos at a time. Once the videos are returned, you can check out 2 more videos. Please see the Library Information regarding the procedure for checking out videos.

How do I add my video training hours to my OPDR training record?

In order for this informal training to be added to your OPDR training record, please submit a copy of the Training Verification Form to the Oklahoma Professional Development Registry along with this Education Update Form.

How long can I keep the videos?
The video check out time is 2 weeks. (CECPD Educators, please contact the library for ordering information.) The library will provide a due date on each package. If you need an extension, please contact the library. Failure to return the videos within the allotted time will affect your eligibility for future services with CECPD.

How do I count video training hours?
The videos within the library vary in length. The training hours are considered the exact length of the video. For example: a 20 minute video is worth 20 minutes of informal training.

Do I receive a certificate for video training?
Video training does not have a formal certificate.
Each video is shipped out with a Training Verification Form. The provider is responsible for answering a brief questionnaire regarding the content of the video. You will keep this form for your records and return the videos and the Return Slip back to the library. This form will be recognized as your video training verification. Please see the Library Information for specific instructions.

What if my videos are damaged or I lost them during my check out period?
You are responsible for the videos you borrow. You will be billed for lost or damaged videos. Please contact the CECPD Lending Library for any questions regarding lost or damaged videos. Failure to return the videos will affect your eligibility for future services with CECPD.

Is there a charge to check out videos?
There is not a charge to check out videos from CECPD. The provider is responsible for return shipping charges.

How do I return the videos back to CECPD?
It is the provider's choice on shipping method; however, each provider is responsible for return shipping charges. Please use secure packaging and include your return address when mailing the videos back to CECPD. You may refer to the Library Information for specific shipping instructions. You may also return your videos in person to CECPD during office hours.
