Family Child Care Home (FCCH) Leadership Academy
Applications are currently being accepted for Class IX in Spring 2023
Research has shown that opportunities in the early years' matter for success in school and life, and family child care providers are leading the way. Beyond providing quality care, your family child care home is also a business. Join other home providers for this unique training opportunity in business essentials. Attend four Saturday sessions over a 4-month period and receive 24 hours of formal training credit. Registration fee: $75

Building a Stronger Child Care Business Using the BAS
Applicants meeting the following requirements will be considered:

You must be a licensed family child care home.

Homes will be required to have an initial Business Administration Scale (BAS) assessment prior to the completion of the final session and a post-BAS 12 months after completing all four sessions of the training.

Preference will be given to homes that serve state subsidy children.

Those applicants accepted for the class who reside more than 60 miles from the training facility will be eligible for overnight lodging the Friday night before each training session at no cost to the participant.

After class completion and BAS assessment, you can apply for a $400 Family Child Care Home Leadership Academy Stipend. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for this stipend program. This program was effective July 1, 2019.
