Oklahoma Professional Development Approval System (PDAS)
PDAS is the system and team here at CECPD that supports trainers and training organizations who are offering training to support professional development for early childhood educators and childcare providers. Our commitment is to develop the highest quality early care and education here in Oklahoma by providing professional development that produces results! It is our responsibility to help trainers offer quality trainings that will further the participants knowledge in early childhood so they can give them accurate information that will support the community and the children they serve. We encourage continued education because research shows that formal education of early childhood teachers means more positive outcomes for children.

To find formal training, look for the OPDR Approved logo when you are searching the statewide training calendar at www.okregistry.org.
Informal professional development is:
Reading and television programs do not count toward required clock hours
College Coursework (Tier III) training is all credit-bearing coursework related to early childhood education (ECE), child development (CD), school-age (SA), administrative/management (Admin/MGMT). Refer to the "Approved College Courses" to see if your class is on the approved list.
