Center for Early Childhood Professional Development

Reflecting Oklahoma's commitment to high quality early care and education by providing professional development that produces results!

The Oklahoma Child Care Wage Supplement Program

The Wage Supplement Program is funded by Oklahoma Human Services Child Care Services and is designed to provide professional development and longevity salary supplements to providers who work with young children in quality licensed child care programs. It promotes professional development, education, and longevity by rewarding ongoing learning and strong, stable relationships provided to children with continuity of care through a high-quality, responsive workforce.

The specific goals of this program are:

  • Enhance a high-qulity workforce through professional development and education.
  • Ensure quality of care by rewarding child care providers that are providing quality experiences in a consistent and stable environment.
  • Reduce turnover of child care program providers by offering wage support for continuity of care at the same program.

How to Apply

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • The Wage Supplement Program is an on-going program where you can receive a check every 6 months you meet requirements. You will be contacted every 6 months to submit new, updated paperwork for employment verification.
  • When you apply, you will be given a commitment period. Once this date comes around, you will be required to submit new updated paperwork before you can receive your first check. This is often very close to your inital approval.
  • CECPD will make all contact to the email address associated with your okregistry.org account. It is very important to keep this updated.
  • Participants are only eligilble to receive a Wage Supplement payment on ONE of the two payment scales. CECPD staff determine your scale when you apply.
  • We have a new email address! Please send all Wage (and Stipend) related questions and paperwork to stipendandwage@ou.edu
