What to Expect during a CCP Field Counselor Visit

This page identifies the expectations of the CCP Field Counselor who is providing services to the individual child care provider.

Expectations of the CCP Field Counselor:

  • The NECPA sends the Field Counselor the CCP Performance Based Observation materials and the CCP Exam.
  • The CCP Field Counselor proctors the CCP Exam and completes the Performance Based Observation.
  • The CCP Field Counselor sends the completed CCP exam and the Performance Based Observation to the NECPA Center of Operations.
  • Follow the rules of professional conduct as provided by the national agency and CECPD
  • Overall, uphold the integrity of the observation process, while positively representing themselves and CECPD

Expectations of CECPD Staff:

  • Be helpful and responsive to questions concerning the Field Counselor’s visit
  • Process payment of the services to the Field Counselor once the service is completed

Expectations of the Candidate:
